I'm starting the Hal Higdon Novice 1 training plan. It will run from Sunday, Feb 26 through the Fargo Half Marathon on Saturday, May 19. In general, my weeks will look like this
Sunday - yoga
Monday - midweek run (not ever more than 5)
Tuesday - short run (not ever more than 3)
Wednesday - run & strength
Thursday - bike
Friday - off
Saturday - long run
I was planning to swim Tuesday and Thursday mornings, but Baby just isn't putting up with it. Granted, I haven't tried, but she screams and screams when she wants me, and I just don't have it in me to let her cry like that. And I don't want to make any other adult put up with two hours of screaming. This child is loud and persistent.
Right now, my goal is to finish. However, Hubby, Sister, Cousin, Uncle, and maybe another Uncle are running the 13.1 and will all finish in 2 hours or less. I don't think I will be able to do 9 minute miles, but maybe 10. Ugh, I don't know. I'm doing 11:30s right now.
So, I think I will plan to write about my training every week to keep a journal of how it's going. To be published on Sundays.
