It's good to be back

I woke up at 4:30 this morning to get to the 5:30 swimming workout. I have to tell you: 4:30 is early. It was still dark. It was a little too early. I got to the pool a few minutes before the coach. Next time, I'll set the alarm for 4:35.

I haven't been swimming in just about exactly 5 years. I got put on bed rest while pregnant with Ivy toward the end of June 2007. Here we are June 2012, and I just finished my first swim workout.

My arms are tired. The Lane 1 workout called for 2800 yards. I did 2500.

One thing that surprised me is that some of the same people are swimming. I knew two ladies in my lane. And they remembered me.

  1. You did 2500 yards! In an hour?!? Good grief no wonder your arms are tired. I have issues. I swim all the freakin time and I'm still stuck at 2000 yards. Grrrrrr...
