Ready, Set, Go

About three years ago, I started training for the Fargo 13.1. Most of my training went well, until the last few weeks. I have no idea what happened, and I didn't try to analyze it. The race wasn't great. And I'm pretty sure I haven't run 13 miles in the last three years.

But, we're done having kids. I'm practically done nursing. And I'm ready to get my pre-baby body back. I've had a good eight years of being chubbier than I want, and it's time to get back to fit.

So, as motivation, I signed up for the Minneapolis 13.1 on May 31. Training starts Sunday.

Two other items of note: I'm going to yoga 2-3 times a week. And I gave up sweets for Lent.

  3. It hasn't been too bad. I did totally forget and eat dessert pizza at the pizza ranch the other day. We even have six boxes of Girl Scout cookies in the freezer and I'm not dying to tear them open. :)
